You can Hunt Better and Longer if You are in Good Shape

Hunting is always a great thing to do in your life, and if you do it with your friends, it could be a nicer way to hang out; however, it’s pretty tough to hunt successfully when you aren’t in good shape. Diet and exercise will help you stay in shape.  We suggest TRX and Diet to Go, but we’ll get to that in a bit.  Did you know one of the main reason why so many people give up or stop during the hunting season is because they in poor shape? The truth is that you have to walk and really move around when hunting, and the only way to cover more ground is to really be in shape for the hunting season.

Don’t let this happen to your this hunting season!

To do this you need to be in shape.

How to get in shape

The best way to get in shape is to start eating healthier, as it’s mainly what you eat that plays a big role to your overall health. Try eating the food from the Diet To Go program, as each of the meals that they offer are of high quality food that can help keep a person healthy. This program has really gotten lots of attention because of the huge results people have, and if you’d like to get that energy to keep on hunting, then this program can help you. Try using a Diet To Go coupon to help save money on the food that you buy.  Also to workout with a system like the TRX.  This system gives you the overall best workout for your body.  If you cannot afford these tools simply running and eating healthy is a great start.

Hunting is a great way to get exercise and even find some great souvenirs, but without the right nutrition, you won’t have the energy to keep going. Stay healthy and you can be sure to hunt longer than usual.

Hunting: Survival or Sport?

If you’re a hunter, do you hunt for survival, or for sport? I realize that few people in developed nations have to hunt for actual life-and-death survival, so I guess what I’m really wondering is this: Do you hunt for sheer enjoyment, or does the game you kill make up a large part of your meat supply? If you’re like most hunters, you enjoy both aspects of hunting – the challenge and the food. I’ve done a fair amount of hunting over the years and enjoy several types of wild game, especially deer and quail. In fact, I have the best venison recipe in the world! I can’t take credit for it – my aunt created it.

Survival

Without hunting, mankind would have never survived. Whether the vegetarians want to admit it or not, human survival didn’t depend on gathering nuts and berries. Early man was a meat eater. Sure, he also ate vegetation from time to time, but his survival depended mostly on the protein, fat, and calories from meat.

Some of us are still largely carnivorous, and wild game is delicious if you know how to prepare it. I’ve eaten quail, squirrel, bear, dove, duck, rabbit, elk, goose, woodcock, wild pig, and lots of whitetail deer. When I was hunting, we always had a freezer full of meat. It’s nice to know that if all the grocery stores closed down tomorrow, the survival of my family would be ensured. I’d take my trusty 12-gauge or .308 to the woods and return with something edible.

Sport

Hunting is a challenging activity, one where you pit your skills against the inherent instincts of an animal. You have to be able to hone several skills to be a successful hunter, including aiming and shooting, scouting, patience, woodsmanship, and working knowledge of your prey. Unless you’re extremely lucky, you don’t just stroll casually into the woods and take down a deer – it’s not that simple.

The same holds true even for small game, in most cases. Take, for example, doves. You might go to a field and see hundreds of doves, but hitting a bird flying at 45 mph and zigging and zagging isn’t easy. The same holds true for quail. They don’t fly so fast, but they’re incredibly hard to find without a good dog, and when the covey takes off, the sound is so alarming to some novice hunters that they can’t take aim.

A Real Hunter

I’ve always believed that a good hunter hunts for both reasons: survival food and sport. My dad, a lifelong hunter, gun collector, gun dealer, and NRA member, always said that a good hunter eats what he kills. I think that’s pretty good advice, although I’d add a little to it. I think a good hunter makes sure someone eats his kill. I enjoy shooting doves, but I’m not a big fan of dove meat. I always made sure, however, that a family member or friend wanted to eat any birds I shot. I don’t believe in killing an animal for no reason. There are too many hungry folks in the world for that, and it’s not fair to the animal, either.

Will helical vanes destroy my whisker biscuit?

I just put a new biscuit on my bow and it’s already getting worn out! The black supporting bristles have a decent sized chunk worn into the right side. I’m shooting easton axis arrows with 2 inch blazer vanes that have a 3 degree helical on them. My biscuit is set up perpendicular to my arrow, and my bow is paper tuned, so I have no other ideas why my biscuits are wearing out so fast! This is my second insert in 6 months. All of my buddies have had biscuits that last up to 4 or 5 years. Can anyone tell me from experience what this could be? Or should I say screw it and buy a QAD dropaway rest? I’m going to be doing tree stand hunting. thanks!

if you fletch you own arrows i would just stop putting the helical twist on them but im not the best with compound bows…. ill stick with my trad. bows

It comes to us all

I received an extra gift this Christmas. Besides the usual rider, multi-pack of socks and underwear, I received a wash car kit. You know the kind of thing, leather cleaning, sponge, shampoo and polish. I think someone trying to tell me something. Anyway, it was a gift in hand and put it in a cabinet Cooking for safety, I was sure to find there.

The Thursday after Christmas, my wife and daughter had gone on sale for the day, so I decided to keep the garden. When I'm out, I looked around wondering what to do and decided to delete the sweet peas and save the seeds for the year next. On the way to the garage to get gloves and a trash bag, I took the meaning of irrigation can put inside.

Then I remembered the keys garage hung in the kitchen, so I put the can and went inside. When I took the keys, I heard the rattle box and hit the ground later. Place garage keys on the table, cross, took the message and returned with a lot of spam, as well as a late Christmas card. Opening of the pedal bin for garbage disposal mail, I found my glasses are missing. Put garbage in the table, put my glasses and read the card, it was my brother in Spain, are listening to carols and drinking mulled wine, while wearing a shirt.

Thinking beyond the sun made me feel cold, so I decided to make a hot drink me hot. Lit the boiler, opened the closet and low and behold, there was the car wash kit. Now, where did I put the keys to the garage? At this point, the kettle boiling, so I made a cup of coffee, a sip, looked through the window and saw the irrigation outside the door where someone could trip. Settings on my cup the table, got out, grabbed the box and since I had no keys, left side of the garage door.

Back inside I took another sip of coffee and saw spam again, when I got to pick it up, I saw the garage keys on the table and picked them up instead. Outside, the garage door opened, the hose side of waste paper box, which reminds me that spam is still on the table. Back home I took the spam to have him on loan documents to make the garage yesterday and saw the car wash kit. I also could decompress, I thought and have the box too.

He had no sooner unpacked the game and placed the box at work, the door bell sounds. Mormons are, I told them no and went to the kitchen trying desperately to remember what I did. The back door was open and saw the garage door too, so I was walking on the pipe connected to the key and ran towards the entrance. After turning on the tap, I started spraying the hallway and medium term, when I remembered I had to wash the car.

At this point, the phone rang, he ignored it and continued to hose unit, the alarm stops and starts, I ignored it again, but when I rang for the third time I dropped the stick and opened it. He was a man with foreign accent Santiago said his name was and has been conducting an investigation. It took me ten minutes to convince I did not want a new phone and I remembered I had left the garden hose.

Killing in the garage, I turned on the tap and be on the safe side in case someone stumbles, I wrapped the pipe, again in the garage and went to get my car keys. I've looked everywhere and finally found them in my jacket pocket where he had left. Put the keys in my pocket pants gave me a bucket under the sink located inside the cleaning kit. I stood for a moment to orient and then in the garage, the cube suspended a hook, closed garage door and entered the house to get a bed.

It's true what they say, since I retired my days are so busy that I can not imagine what I found time to go to work.

Bow Hunter – Tips for a (soon-to-be) game?

I was interested in buying a bow for hunting in the future. I do not know if I should look in the composite or average. I mean price range for something, nothing fancy, but I will not shit. Any advice about counseling and arrows are also welcome.

Go to the nearest store on the Bowery where you live. For "archery shop, I mean a store that sells archery equipment that its principal activity … places is not that 'chance' to have an archery department. Yes, Cabela's is an ideal, but really are not for the beginner or person who does not know what they really need …. Go to the store only if such there are other alternatives. The stores have also improved archery gallery shooting where you can taste different arcs, with finding the "One" for you. Let the experts of the Bank of archery help you find your "perfect arc," that suits you best (not necessarily one that is the "latest and greatest"). if you do not like the bow that you liked and could When you find the bow for you, get well-made arrows, which should fit you and your bow (the length of your project and the arc weight of your hand) and destination (in this case, hunting), which is help achieve accuracy and efficiency. Arrows get wrong and it could end up being very frustrated and throw the bow in the trash. And do not pay much attention to the "Pies per second (fps) / = flat trajectory efficiency "mythology. If you miss an arrow 300 fps … still miss you. And if you miss just a 1 / 2 inches – I still miss. Make sure the arrows do more than just reach the goal: they have deep enough in the right place to bring down the deer (or moose, bear, sheep, pigs, whatever). It takes practice, lots of it, and use the right equipment.
